Special times with Grandma Winter

This is a special post to celebrate Ezra’s Grandma Winter, whose birthday is Saturday. Grandma is not much of a computer user, but we hear she is a big fan of Ezra’s blog. So, here’s to you! We love you! Happy birthday!

I’ve always been amazed by my mother-in-law and how stunningly productive she is. My awe only increased after Ezra was born. I was lucky to just get myself and Ezra dressed. But when my husband was growing up, his mother somehow managed a growing business, raised three fantastic sons (with a babysitter only coming to their house one day a week), cooked delicious meals, planned family outings and kept an immaculately clean house. How in the world did she do it?

When we visited in Kansas City, I got a glimpse. Maybe it was a little like this…

But it’s not always go-go-go, all the time. Ezra also loves to take naps and cuddle with his grandma.

Another very special activity is when Ezra gets to dress up in vintage outfits that once belonged to his dad and uncles.

We are so grateful for Grandma and Grandpa Winter! Happy birthday, Grandma! We love you! God grant you many years!

  1. I love Ezra’s tongue in that last picture.

  2. In the photo where Ez is sleeping on his grandma’s shoulder, his face looks quite like his grandpa!
